Accommodating for Growth

As our group grows larger, how do we give everyone the personal attention they need?

Good question!
Keeping in mind this is all an ‘experiment’, meaning we don’t know what is unfolding and any vision is only an estimated direction….
What we do know is that this is about “True Participation”, which to me means engaging with people on a conversational level more than simply watching a speaker speak.
At the moment, our weekly Saturday Services are small enough that everyone has a chance to speak in the allotted 2 hours, if they so choose.
However, when the number of attendees doubles or triples and it would take all day to give everyone a chance to speak, the format will need to change a bit.
It feels important that we plan now for training facilitators to work with smaller groups, in order to accommodate for this. Larger groups are wonderful, but it’s also possible for people to become passive listeners instead of being fully engaged. The cultural temptation is to become another guru show with followers trying to understand the message. Rather, I want this to become an active community engagement experience where we have clear forums for vulnerability and genuine interpersonal connection.

Good point!
The “need” is often unknown, people often do not know what they need. They may need to be confronted, they may need to be hugged and held, they may need to simply feel like they are in a safe space without condemnation.
It is an energetic ask, not necessarily a conscious or verbal request.

Can we support everyone in claiming the level of personal attention they desire? Or is there a concern that this could get out of hand and we would need moderators?

I was more referring to the live Church experience (I setup another group for Truth Dojo groups, which is a related issue of moderators yes!).
And as I touched on above, it’s not necessarily about desires as much as just an energy of scarcity requiring additional power and consciousness in order to come to completion.
I would like to cultivate and ultimately appoint a group of moderators in both contexts!
